About Us

An association is “an organization deliberately formed for the collective pursuit of some interest, or a set of interests, which its members share”.

The genesis of Anambra State Association in Atlanta is intractable and elusive at best. Some may trace it to the rudimentary and primordial Committee of Anambra State Indigens in Atlanta that received Dr. Ikedife (Okwadike of Igboukwu) in 1993, the First Executive Governor of the newly created Anambra State. This Committee fizzled away after some time. The Governor visited Atlanta to express or showcase his development plans for the newly created Anambra State, as well as solicit funds for the administration’s ambitious and mega projects at home (e.g., construction of Oba Airport)… Read More

    SOME OF OUR PROJECTS

    VIEW ALL PROJECTS

    Our Good Will Mission, Annual Anambra Cultural Day, and other social and philanthropic endeavors, comprise the main events of our organization. Most funds raised during the year are used for charitable efforts to offer support for the less privileged in our community. In addition, funds also provide sustainability for the organization state and national level. Through partnership with our National USA Organization, Anambra State Association, (ASA-USA), five key missions are annually organized to Anambra State. These missions include Medical and Health Services, Education, Disability and Human Rights, Research and Development (R & D), and Women Empowerment / Micro Financing.


    The Anambra State Association of Atlanta focuses to empower our members through community outreach and awareness, with hopes to create lifelong relationships and cohesiveness. We encourage new and current members to build on the network of connections made to promote the unity of our organization.
